This century-old house with its 10 ft ceilings, 2,600 sq ft interior, 4 bedrooms, private garden and outdoor spa is a rare find in the centre of the plateau. Details from the original building were restored, such as the classical woodwork on the windows, the exposed stone and beams on the garden level and the beautiful cornices on the facade of the building. New traditional elements were added such as the shaker cabinets and golden handles in the kitchen as well as the reading nooks around the bay windows. These classical design elements were mixed with modern touches throughout the house from the glass wine cellar and concrete floors on the garden level, to the wooden slatted staircase and hanging fireplace on the ground floor all the way to the use of pastel ceramics in the bathrooms. Everything was custom-built and designed for this project, including the cabinets, bookcase and bathroom vanities. The intent of the design was to modernize a traditional soulful home through quality craftsmanship.
