Located in one of the most prestigious streets of the Plateau-Mont-Royal, this century-old house was remodelled to accommodate a young family’s aesthetic and lifestyle. In order to modernize the house, we painted all the walls white and added shades of black throughout the interior. We recreated simple lines through fine woodwork and updated the bathroom tiles and kitchen countertops with striking marble finishes. Whilst the clients wanted a contemporary home, they did not want to lose the house’s soul. We did this by highlighting some ancient elements such as the exposed brick wall and ceiling beams which also bring warmth to the space.
